Alexx Calise, born on June 28, 1985, in Staten Island, New York, is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She began playing guitar at age 11 and started her professional music career at 14. Her debut album Morning Pill was released in March 2007. Calise gained significant attention with the release of "Cry" from her second studio album In Avanti (2010), which received heavy rotation after being featured on Lifetime's Dance Moms in 2011 and peaked at number 64 on the rock charts in August 2011. Subsequent releases include the EP AC3 (2012) and the album Addition by Subtraction (2016). Additionally, Calise was involved in charity work with Wear Your Music, donating proceeds to the Brain Trauma Foundation.
