Damir Imamović is a Bosnian singer-songwriter born in 1978 in Sarajevo. He established a musical background in the traditional sevdalinka genre within a prominent family, including his grandfather, Zaim Imamović. During the siege of Sarajevo (1992–1995), Imamović began studying guitar at age 14. He did his debut concert at the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2004. His released works include the debut album Svira Standarde (2006) with the Damir Imamović Trio and the live album Abrašević live (2008), which received the Davorin music award. Imamović released solo albums including Damir Imamović (2010) and Svrzina Kuća (2011). In 2012, he formed the ensemble Sevdah Takht, recording the albums Sevdah Takht (2012) and Dvojka (2016). His other discography featured Singer of Tales (2020), which received the 2021 Songlines Music Award for Best European Album.
