Charles Bressler, born April 1, 1926, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, was an American tenor who studied at the Juilliard School under Lucia Dunham. He joined the New York Pro Musica in 1953, touring with them until 1963. Bressler's notable recordings include Maurice Abravanel and the Utah Symphony's Berlioz Requiem and Respighi's "Lauda per la Natività del Signore" with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He taught at the Manhattan School of Music and made his Broadway debut in 1956 with The Lark. Bressler released several albums, including Music Of The Middle Ages: Volume 6 (1957) and posthumously, Sederunt Principes, Organum For 4 Voices (2008). He died in New York City on November 28, 1996.
