A lyric singer born in Hamburg, Mojca Erdmann began her classical training on the violin before opting for singing at the age of fourteen. A member of the Berlin Opéra-Comique between 1997 and 2005, she won several major First Prizes and distinguished herself in Mozart's Zaïde , Ravel's L' Enfant et les sortilèges and Richard Strauss's Le Chevalier à la rose. The soprano revelation, praised by the greatest conductors from Simon Rattle to Nikolaus Harnoncourt, has enjoyed a string of triumphs in London, Salzburg, Vienna, Amsterdam and Paris. In 2011, the recital Mostly Mozart was released by Deutsche Grammophon.
