Andrea Pancur, born on January 16, 1969, in Germany, was a musician and actress known for her work in traditions of Yiddish and Bavarian music. She explored the Klezmer tradition inspired by her family's Slovenian heritage and co-founded the group Massel-Tov in 1994, which was twice nominated for the Ruth World Music Prize. From 2003 to 2008, she sang with the world music quartet Bappa E Zittu. Pancur then released solo projects including Federmentsh – Lider fun yidishland (2009), Alpen Klezmer (2012), and Alpen Klezmer - zum Meer (2016). She performed internationally and received the Volkskulturpreis der Landeshauptstadt München in 2012. Andrea Pancur passed away on August 16, 2023.
