Işıl Yücesoy, born on October 2, 1945 in Kırklareli, Turkey, was a Turkish actress and singer. She learned piano from her father, Selahattin, who was a music teacher. After graduating from Ankara State Conservatory in 1969, she began performing with the Turkish State Theatres until 1975. Yücesoy then transitioned to a music career, performing in nightclubs and releasing several singles and albums. Her repertoire included Turkish covers of Western pop music as well as songs in English, Italian, and Russian. In 1978, she established her own record label, Orient. Notable releases include Bir Evet Yeter (1979), En İyileriyle Işıl Yücesoy (2005), and Zamansız (2016). Throughout her career, Yücesoy also acted in various television serials and films.
