Templebeat, an Italian industrial rock/EBM band, was formed in 1990 by Michele Benetello, Pietro Zanetti, and Giorgio Ricci. The group gained initial recognition by winning the Arezzo Wave festival contest in 1991, leading to the inclusion of their song "Fuckin' Mosquito" on the compilation Arezzo Wave 1991. Their debut 12", "Auto Da Fe", was released that same year. Templebeat signed with Dune Records and produced their six-track CD single "Wargasm" (1992), which received heavy rotation on MTV's 120 Minutes. The band toured extensively throughout Europe and released their album, Black Suburbia, in 1994 under Dynamica Records. Despite a successful touring schedule and other notable releases like Mediasickness (1996) and Hollywood Babylonia (1997), the band disbanded by 2000 due to label support issues. In 2010, Silentes Minimal Editions released The Grey Space, a retrospective compilation of their early works. The band reformed in 2020 as Templebeat LTD with Giorgio Ricci and Scar.
