Orçun Koray Candemir, born on August 7, 1975, in Istanbul, Turkey, is a Turkish musician, songwriter, and producer. His music career began with his high school band, which won several awards from the Milliyet High Schools Music Contest. In 1994, Koray Candemir joined Kargo as the lead singer after being invited by Selim Ozturk and Mehmet Senol Sisli. The band's album Yarina Ne Kaldi? was released in 1996 and became an instant success, making Kargo one of Turkey’s most popular rock bands. With Kargo, Candemir released several albums including Sevmek Zor, Yalnizlik Mevsimi and Sen Bir Meleksin. In 2001, he began his solo career with the album Sade.
