The Dudaim, an Israeli folk duo consisting of vocalist Benny Amdursky and guitarist Israel Gurion, was formed in 1957 when the two met in Jerusalem. Their debut album Erev Shel Shoshanim featured the hit song "Erev Shel Shoshanim" and another notable track "Tapuach Hinani". In 1965-66, they collaborated with Arik Einstein as the Yarkon Bridge Trio, releasing HaTochnit HaChadasha. The Dudaim performed in the Israeli Song Festival twice in the '70s, winning first prize in 1972. Their final album, It's Not the Same House, was released in 1990. Benny Amdursky passed away from cancer in 1994. Post-disbandment, Israel Gurion and Assaf Amdursky toured with The Dudaim's songs in 2009, leading to the release of שרים הדודאים (The Dudaim Sing) in 2013, which received an Israeli Gold Album Award.
