Glamour of the Kill, a British metalcore band from York, was formed in January 2007 by Davey Richmond, Mike Kingswood, Ben Thomson and Sam Brookes. Their debut demo EP, Through the Dark They March, received critical acclaim, leading to tours with notable acts such as Bullet for My Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold. In 2008, they released their first licensed EP, Glamour of the Kill. The band's popularity grew through appearances at major festivals like Download Festival and Sonisphere. Their debut studio album, The Summoning, was released in January 2011 and featured the single "Feeling Alive", which became Kerrang!'s Video of the Week. In September 2013, they released their second full-length album, Savages. The band announced their split in July 2015 due to financial struggles but returned in March 2018 with the singles "Fire Fight" and "Resurrection" in January 2019.
