Mehmet Güreli (born 1949) is a Turkish musician, writer, painter, and director from Istanbul. Güreli graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in philosophy and joined the Hürriyet newspaper in 1976. He launched his recording career in 1988 with the album Vapurlar/Blues. Güreli’s discography featured the albums Cihangir'de Bir Gece (1995), Yağmur (1999), Odamda Yolculuk (2002), and Kimse Bilmez (2010). His later musical works included Oda Müziği - 1 (2019) and Mehmet Güreli ile Buluşmalar (2021). As a writer, Güreli authored the books Sıcak Bir Göz (1985), Alope'nin Odası (1993), and Bedrufi'nin Nefesi (2015). His filmography included the movie Vapurlar (1986), the documentary İstanbul'a Yolculuk - Dünya Yazarlarının Gözüyle (2006), and the film Gölge (2008). His artistic work incorporated elements of blues, jazz, and pop music.
