Stanisław Guzek, known professionally as Stan Borys, is a Polish singer-songwriter, actor, director, and poet born on September 3, 1941, in Załęże, Poland. He began his career with an interest in poetry and acting. In 1965, Borys formed the band Blackout with Tadeusz Nalepa, but later left to join Bizony. With Bizony, he released his hit song "Spacer Dziką Plażą". His breakthrough came in 1968 at the Opole music festival with the song "To Ziemia". Borys continued to release albums, including Krzyczę przez sen (1970), Naga (1972) with Niebiesko-Czarni, and Szukam przyjaciela (1974). In 1975, he relocated to the United States. Borys returned to Poland after 1989 and performed at various festivals, including Opole and Sopot in 1991. He also played Jean Valjean in the musical Les Misérables. His later albums included Piszę pamiętnik artysty (1983), Niczyj (1998), and Znieczulica (2007).
