Ratheesh Vegha, a prominent Indian composer and musician, is renowned for his versatile contributions to Malayalam cinema, blending traditional and contemporary sounds. Born in Palakkar, Kerala, Ratheesh initially trained in Carnatic music under Thrissur R. Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar and later earned a degree in music from Madras University. He began his career composing jingles for major South Indian brands before breaking into the film industry with his debut soundtrack for the 2010 hit Cocktail, which featured chart-topping songs like "Neeyam Thanalinu." His distinct style quickly earned him recognition, and he followed up with successful scores for Beautiful (2011), which garnered him the Kochi Times Film Award for Best Music Director and the Mirchi Music Award for Best Upcoming Music Director. Ratheesh Vegha’s notable works include the critically acclaimed Run Babby Run (2012) with the popular track "Aatumanal Payayil" and Orissa (2013), which won him the Kerala Film Critics Association Award.
