Ronald Lee Williams-Clarke, known professionally as Ron Williams, was born on February 2, 1942, in Oakland, California. He is an American actor, voice actor, singer, and presenter who has lived and worked in Germany since the 1960s. Williams began his career as a military policeman before transitioning to radio journalism with the American Forces Network in Stuttgart. His early musical endeavors included singing with local bands. In 1984, Williams released his single "Hello Mr. Frieden" and later released two mini-albums: Du, Du, Du / Under 4 Eyes (1985) and Let the Sunshine In (1993). He is also known for his voice work, including the role of Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare Before Christmas. He also sang the theme song for the animated series "The Super Mario Brothers" (1989).
