Son of Noise, a British hip hop group from the United Kingdom, originated from Hardnoise, an early British hip hop collective that included DJ Son, DJ Nyce D, TLP1, DJ AJ, Gemini, and DJ Mada. After releasing their first single "Untitled" (1989), the group gained underground success and signed with Music of Life. Following the death of Nyce D in 1990, Hardnoise disbanded. DJ Son and DJ Mada continued as Son of Noise, releasing the well-received single "Son of Noise/Ill Justice" (1991). They later released their debut album The Mighty Son of Noise (1992) under Kold Sweat Records. The group left the label to finance their own recordings, leading to the release of Access Denied: Bullshit and Politics Pt 1 (1995). DJ Swing died in 2006 from multiple myeloma. In 2021, Son of Noise released the EP "The Resurrection".
