Isaac "Ike" Willis, born on November 12, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri, is an American musician known for his work as a singer and guitarist. He joined Frank Zappa's studio and touring bands from 1978 until Zappa's final tour in 1988. Willis met Zappa during a concert at his school in 1977, the University of Washington in St. Louis, where he was studying. His breakthrough came when he joined Zappa’s band, contributing to notable albums such as Joe's Garage, where he voiced the character Joe, and providing vocals for tracks like "Catholic Girls" and "Lucille Has Messed My Mind Up." He also appeared on other significant works including Tinsel Town Rebellion, You Are What You Is, and The Man from Utopia, as well as narrating in the conceptual musical Thing-Fish. Willis also performs with several tribute bands honoring Zappa’s music. He has published two solo studio albums under his own name and is currently working on another.
