Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Philippe Hallais was adopted by a French family at the age of four. He spent his childhood in Brittany, between Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine) and Nantes (Loire-Atlantique). As Low Jack, he developed a passion for electro inspired by the original techno of Chicago (Illinois). Attracted by experimentation, he nonetheless designs danceable sets when he performs at the Rex Club or La Gaité Lyrique. However, Low Jack prefers to create a musical ambience for the Musée du Quai Branly or for his EP Garifuna Variations (2014), where he invents a phantasmagorical Mayan music. Recognized in the European underground and as far afield as the United States, Low Jack released his debut album Sewing Machine in May 2015.
