Alice Gold, born Alice McLaughlin, is an English singer-songwriter based in London. She began her music career under her original name, releasing her debut single "Dolly Figured" in 2007. Her breakthrough came with the release of "Orbiter", her first single as Alice Gold, in 2010, through Pure Groove Records. This single garnered critical acclaim, with The Guardian describing it as showcasing Gold's powerful voice and highlighting her as "One to watch". In 2011, she released her debut album Seven Rainbows, produced by Dan Carey. The album was noted for its live recording style and autobiographical lyrics. Gold has collaborated with various artists and toured extensively, performing at notable festivals such as Glastonbury and V Festival in 2011. She also covered the Billy Fury song "Wondrous Place" which was featured in a Carling beer advertisement in 2011.
