Alt pop-rock singer-songwriter Leah Andreone (born in San Diego, California on May 24, 1972) cut her professional singing teeth in her older sister’s band aged 8, before setting her sights on the club circuit as a student at San Diego State University. During her student days, she spent time singing in clubs around Los Angeles. After dropping out of college and upping sticks to L.A., Andreone poured everything into becoming a solo artist, performing in clubs around San Diego and L.A. She began chasing a record deal while earning a living at a restaurant and struck demo gold one night after a chance meeting with a group of RCA label execs. That encounter, plus Andreone's hard work and determination, eventually led to a record deal. Produced by Rick Neigher, Andreone's first album Veiled was released on RCA in 1996, and featured the hit single "It's Alright, It's OK", which made it into the US, European and Australian charts. In 1997, Andreone contributed a rock cover version of Carole King's, "I Feel the Earth Move" to the Speed 2: Cruise Control soundtrack and released her follow-up studio album, Alchemy, in 1998. On account of producer Bob Marlette (Ozzy Ozbourne, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie), the album embodied a spikier, heavier sound than her debut and featured cameos from Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith and John Lowery. Andreone spent the next decade of her career collaborating with various artists, including hitmaker Billy Steinberg, also working as a producer and touring with all-women festival Lilith Fair. In 2009, Andreone unveiled her comeback album Avalanche and in 2017, released digital single “I Want A Piece Of You”.
