Da Costa Woltz’s Southern Broadcasters was an American string band formed in Galax, Virginia by Da Costa Woltz. Notable members included fiddler Ben Jarrell from Round Peak, North Carolina, banjo player Frank Jenkins from Dobson, and Price Goodson, who sang and played ukulele and harmonica at just 13 years old. In May 1927, the band recorded their first tracks at Gennett Studio under Gennett Records. Their repertoire included well-known songs such as "Yellow Rose of Texas" (1927) and "Take Me Back to the Sweet Sunny South" (1927). Jenkins, Jarrell, and Goodson all passed away in the late 1940s.
