Jean-Luc Fillon, also known as Oboman, is an oboist, English horn player, bass clarinetist, double bassist, bassist, conductor, composer, and arranger. He studied classical music and oboe at the Conservatoire d'Aubervilliers and later at the Conservatoire de Versailles, earning a gold medal and a prize of honor respectively. Fillon's career began in 1987 when he became the principal oboist for the Orchestre Symphonique d'Europe. He transitioned into jazz, joined the Jazzogène Orchestra and collaborated with notable artists such as Antoine Hervé and Lauren Newton. In 1996, Fillon formed two ensembles: Coyoakan Trio and Alborada Sextuor. His discography includes albums like Flea Market (2004), Oborigins (2008), and On The Reed... Again (2008). He has also created the Sons neufs festival in Paris in 2009.
