Suburbano, a Spanish folk rock group, was formed in 1979 in Vallecas, Madrid. The band was led by composers Bernardo Fuster and Luis Mendo, who also handled vocals and guitars. Suburbano's breakthrough came with their early compositions such as "La Puerta de Alcalá" and "Arde París", which gained significant popularity. They collaborated extensively with notable artists of the era, including Luis Pastor, Luis Eduardo Aute, Vainica Doble, Pablo Guerrero, and Joaquín Sabina. Their discography included albums like Fugitivos (1986), Ya No Puedo Parar (1994), and La Puerta de Alcala (1994). Suburbano also contributed to numerous film soundtracks, such as those for Makinavaja (1992) and París-Tombuctú (1999).
