Jaume Sisa, born September 24, 1948, in Barcelona, is a Catalan singer-songwriter, actor, and counterculture figure known as “El cantautor galáctico” (“The Galactic Singer-Songwriter”). Born Jaume Sisa i Mestres, he emerged from Barcelona’s underground folk scene in the 1960s as a member of Grup de Folk and later co-led Música Dispersa. His 1975 album, Qualsevol nit pot sortir el sol, and its title track, are considered classics in Catalan music. After settling in Madrid in 1985, he recorded Spanish-language material under the alias Ricardo Solfa. Sisa also collaborated with the theater company Dagoll Dagom and composed music for stage productions and films.
