Polemic is a Slovak ska band from Bratislava formed in 1989. Their early years were marked by local concerts and a first demo album, Vrana (1996). In 1997, they produced a second album, Do Ska (1997), which led to a nomination for the Slovak ZAI Prize in the "Discovery of the Year" category in 1998. Their international breakthrough came with the release of Yah Man! (1999), followed by extensive European tours and notable performances, including a concert on the roof of the Slovak Radio building in Bratislava. They signed with BMG-Ariola, releasing albums such as Gangster-Ska (2000) and Nelám si s tým hlavu! (2002). In 2005, they transitioned to Sony Music Entertainment. Notable releases included Nenudin (2005), Horúce časy (2010), Hey! Ba-Ba-Re-Bop (2013), and 11SKA (2024).
