Edmon Colomer i Soler, born on September 26, 1951, in Barcelona, Spain, is a Spanish-Catalan conductor and composer. He studied at the Conservatory of Music in Barcelona under Xavier Montsalvatge and Antoni Ros-Marbà, and continued his education with Hans Swarowsky, George Hurst, and Sergiu Celibidache. Colomer received notable awards as a composer, including the first prize at the Rencontres Internationales de Chant Choral de Tours, the Joaquín Rodrigo Prize in Sagonte, and the Enric Morera Prize in Sant Just Desvern. His conducting career includes leading the Spanish Youth Orchestra, the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, and the Picardy Orchestra. One of his notable recordings is Rodrigo: Concerto de Aranjuez with Paco de Lucia (1991).
