Rebekka Hartmann, born in 1981 in Munich, Germany, is a German violinist who began her musical education at age five under Helge Thelen. She studied violin at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music and later completed her master's degree at Mozarteum Salzburg. In 2011, Hartmann released her album Birth of the Violin, which won the Echo Klassik award for Best Solo Recording of the Year in 2012. Her repertoire spans from early Baroque to contemporary music, including premieres by composers such as Håkan Larsson and Anders Eliasson. She has also collaborated with pianist Margarita Oganesjan on the album Views from Ararat (2015) and performed extensively with orchestras worldwide. Hartmann's notable awards include first prizes at the Pasadena Instrumental Competition in 2000 and the National Solo Competition of the USA in 2002.
