Randi Tytingvåg, born on April 18, 1978, in Stavanger, Norway, is a singer and songwriter. She graduated from the London School of the Arts Roehampton in 2001 and made her debut as a jazz singer at the Maijazz Festival that same year. In 2004, she released her first works, the mini-album Beyond Surface, and the album Heavenly Attack. Tytingvåg's breakthrough came when she was named "Artist of the Year" at the Maijazz Festival in 2004. She continued to release albums, including Let Go (2006), Red (2009), and Grounding (2012). In 2006, she began a second career as a theater actress with the play Skyfri himmel. Tytingvåg received the Prins Eugen Kulturpris in Sweden in 2012. She has also been part of the group Julestjerner since 2009, performing at Christmas concerts and at Stavanger Concert Hall.
