Markus Poschner was born on February 1, 1971, in Munich, Germany. He is a conductor who studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München under Hermann Michael. Poschner's early career included serving as chief conductor of the Georgischen Kammerorchesters Ingolstadt from 2000 to 2006. He later held roles at the Komische Oper Berlin and the Bremer Philharmoniker. In 2015, he became the chief conductor of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, and in 2017, he took on the same role with the Bruckner Orchester Linz.
