Darmon August Meader, born on August 26, 1961, is an American saxophonist and vocalist known for his contributions to jazz. After studying at Ithaca College, Meader co-founded the vocal ensemble New York Voices in 1987 with Peter Eldridge, Kim Nazarian, Caprice Fox, and Sara Krieger. The group made their debut in 1988 and released their first album the following year on GRP Records. In 2008, Meader was nominated for a Grammy in the category Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s) for his arrangement of "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" on the album A Day Like This (2007). That same year, he released his debut solo album, And So Am I.
