Satélite Kingston, also known as SK, is an Argentine ska group formed in Buenos Aires in 1997. Their music was deeply influenced by traditional Jamaican sounds, drawing comparisons to artists like The Skatalites and Laurel Aitken. Satélite Kingston released their debut album Subterrannia in 2000, followed by Una isla in 2003. In 2004, they contributed to the tribute album Tribute to Bob Marley, covering "Top Rankin" and "Trench Town Rock". Their third studio album, Algo tiene que pasar, was released in 2006. The group also participated in the reggae tribute to The Beatles, Green Album, with a cover of John Lennon's "Because". In 2010, they released their fifth album, El enemigo. Throughout their career, Satélite Kingston has performed extensively across Argentina, Brazil, Europe, and other regions.
