Igor Kamenz, born in 1968 in Chabarowsk, is a Russian-German pianist. He received early musical training and began performing as a child in the Soviet Union. As a teenager, he emigrated with his parents to West Germany, where he studied under Vitaly Margulis and Sergiu Celibidache. He gained recognition through numerous international piano competitions, including the Pilar Bayona Piano Competition (1987), where he won first prize, and the Concours National de Piano Claude Kahn (1985), also securing first place. He achieved notable success at the Internationale Klavierwettbewerb Ferruccio Busoni, earning second prizes in 1988 and 1991.
