Hartmut Höll, born on November 24, 1952, in Heilbronn, Germany, is a distinguished pianist and music educator. He attended the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium in his hometown before embarking on his musical career. From 1982 to 1992, Höll collaborated with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, performing at prestigious festivals including the Salzburg and Edinburgh Festivals. Throughout his career, he has accompanied renowned singers such as Renée Fleming, Mitsuko Shirai, and Thomas Hampson in concerts across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the USA. Höll's extensive discography includes over sixty CD productions, many of which have received international acclaim, including the Diapason d’Or and the German Record Critics' Award. He has held professorships at various institutions, notably the Karlsruhe University of Music, where he served as rector from 2007 to 2022.
