John Arthur Martinez (born June 10, 1961) is an American country singer-songwriter and guitarist from Austin, Texas. Martinez finished in second place on the first season of the USA Network talent show Nashville Star in 2003. He released his debut album, Spinning Our Wheels, in 1998. In 2004, Martinez released the studio album Lone Starry Night for Dualtone Records. The album reached number 49 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and number 28 on the Independent Albums chart. The album produced the single “Home Made of Stone”, which reached number 56 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. His discography included the albums On the Border (2001), Stand Your Ground (2001), Rodeo Night (2007), and Purgatory Road (2009). Martinez also released the singles “Utopia” (2009) and “You Can't Outdrink the Truth” (2010).
