Çilekeş, a Turkish rock band formed in Ankara in 2002, gained prominence after winning the Genç Yetenekler Aramızda music contest in 2003. The band, consisting of Görkem Karabudak on vocals and rhythm guitar, Ali Güçlü Şimşek on guitar, Gökhan Şahinkaya on bass guitar, and Cumhur Avcil on drums, embarked on a tour covering 17 cities with an approximate total audience of 350,000. Their debut album Y.O.K. was released by On-air in 2005, featuring notable tracks such as "Kendimden geriye" and "Çilekeş (Ardıma hiç bakmadan)". In 2008, they released their second album Katil Dans, which included the track "Pervazda Tatil" featuring Şebnem Ferah. Their third album, Histeri Çalışmaları, was released in 2010 and became available for download on their official website. The band announced an indefinite hiatus in January 2014, with members Karabudak and Şimşek focusing on their new project, Bubituzak.
