Yavuz Hilmi Çetin, born September 25, 1970, in Samsun, Turkey, was a Turkish musician, singer, and songwriter known for his work in blues and psychedelic music. Çetin began taking guitar lessons at age 14 from Ahmet Kanneci and later mastered both acoustic and electric guitars. In 1991, Çetin formed the Blue Blues Band with Batu Mutlugil, Kerim Çaplı, and Sunay Özgür. A solo career included collaborations with notable artists such as Teoman, Kıraç, Sibel Tüzün, Soner Arıca, Göksel, Deniz Arcak, and Acil Servis. In 1997, Çetin released a debut album, İlk (1997), produced by Ercan Saatçi. Çetin also contributed to the soundtrack of the film Propaganda (1999) with the tune "Dünya" (1997). A second album, Satılık (2001), was completed just before his death by suicide on August 15, 2001. Posthumously, Satılık gained significant acclaim and both it and his earlier works achieved a near-cult status in Turkey.
