Sestre, a Slovenian drag act, began their journey in 2000 as Suspender Sisters, performing classic drag queen shows. The group, consisting of Tomaž (Marlenna), Damjan (Emperatrizz), and Srečko (Daphne), gained national recognition when they won the Slovenian pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2002. Representing Slovenia in Tallinn, they placed 13th with "Samo ljubezen" earning 33 points. In 2002, Sestre released their debut album Souvenir, featuring songs in multiple languages including Slovene, English, Spanish, French, and German. The album was supported by a collaborative team from Dom Svobode: Magnifico, Barbara Pešut, and Schatzi.
