Club Honolulu is a pseudonym used by the Schlager duo and sibling pair Caterina Valente and Silvio Francesco. Born in Paris, France, on January 4, 1931, and October 20, 1927 respectively, the siblings began their musical journey together in 1956 with joint record releases. Under the name Club Honolulu, they achieved significant success in 1960 with "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Honolulu-Strand-Bikini", a German adaptation of Brian Hyland's hit "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini". This song reached Number 1 on the German Hitparade in September 1960 and ranked 27th among the year's best-selling hits. The duo also released the album Steig' In Mein Boot under this pseudonym, which further solidified their popularity. Caterina Valente and Silvio Francesco used several other project names, including Club Indonesia, Club Italia, Club Argentina, Club Manhattan, and Catrins Madison Club, achieving numerous additional successes.
