Gun Birgit Johnson, known professionally as Bibi Johns, and born on January 21, 1929, in Arboga, Sweden, is a singer. She began her career at age 13, winning a local singing competition under the name Gun Bertilson. In 1946, she joined the music group Vårat Gäng and later adopted the stage name Bibbi Johnson, which was eventually changed to Bibi Johns. Her breakthrough came in the early 1960s with hits like "Leka med elden" and "Bibis Bossa Nova", which reached Number 1 on the Swedish Radio-Charts Svensktoppen for three weeks. In the mid-1950s, Johns moved to Germany, where she became a prominent figure in German pop music. Her debut single in German was "Bella Bimba", released in 1953, which became an evergreen of the decade. She also achieved chart success with songs like "Die Gypsy-Band" and "Zwei Herzen im Mai".
