Battalion of Saints, an American hardcore punk band from San Diego, California, was founded in 1980. The group's early releases included the EPs Fighting Boys and The Sound of Hollywood. In 1982, they released their first EP Fighting Boys. The band underwent numerous lineup changes before touring the United States and Canada from 1984 to 1985. They officially disbanded in 1985 but reformed in 1995 with new members, including Terry "Tezz" Roberts, and signed with Taang! Records. Their album Death -R- Us was released that year, compiling their earlier material. In late 1996, the band recorded "Muscle of Love" and toured Europe. They released the single in 1997. The group continued to perform and release music through various lineup changes until disbanding in 2019. Notable releases include Second Coming (1984), Cuts (1996), and their self-titled EP from 2015.
