Rudi Godden, born Rudi Lißbauer on April 18, 1907, in Berlin, was a German singer and actor. Initially aspiring to be an operatic singer, he received training at the Opernschule Hamburg but later shifted his focus to popular music. In the late 1920s, Godden co-founded the Gesangsquartett Blue Boys and began touring with them. By 1935, he was a member of the cabaret group Die acht Entfesselten. Godden performed in operettas at venues like the Admiralspalast and Metropol. He died unexpectedly on January 4, 1941, at the age of 33 due to complications from a blood infection.
