Little Tragedies, a Russian progressive rock, art rock and symphonic rock band from Kursk, Russia, was founded in 1994 by composer Gennady Ilyin. Their initial lineup included Ilyin on keyboards, Yuri Skripkin on drums, and Oleg Babynin on bass. After Ilyin previously performed with a band called Paradox, they released their first two albums, The Sun of Spirit (2000) and Porcelain Pavilion (2000), under the label Boheme Music. Their style, influenced by classical music and heavy art rock, featured a prominent keyboard solo with an improvisation accent. They released their third album Return (2005). Notable albums include New Faust (2006), The Sixth Sense (2006), and Obsessed (2011). They performed at festivals such as InProg 2006 and celebrated their 25th anniversary with a special performance in 2019.
