Astral Projection, an Israeli trance band, originated from the earlier project SFX created by Avi Nissim and Lior Perlmutter. Their initial breakthrough came with the 1991 single "Monster Mania" under the SFX name. They changed their name to Astral Projection and began playing live. The group released Dancing Galaxy in 1997, followed by Another World (1999), and Amen (2002), solidifying their presence in the Goa and psychedelic trance scenes. The duo maintained a global touring schedule while releasing EPs, including Open Society (2010) and One (2012) on TIP Records, and the remix album Goa Classics Remixed (2014) on TIP Records. In 2025, they issued For All Mankind through Iboga Records.
