Alecia Nugent, born in Hickory Grove, Louisiana, United States in 1972, is an American country, Americana, and bluegrass vocalist and musician. Her career began with the release of her debut album Alecia Nugent on 2004 under Rounder Records. She released A Little Girl...a Big Four-Lane in 2006 and Hillbilly Goddess in 2009. Throughout her career, Nugent has frequently collaborated with bluegrass legend Carl Jackson on her albums. In 2009, she was nominated for the IBMA Female Vocalist of The Year award.
