Arjun Janya, born Lokesh Kumar on May 13, 1980, in Bangalore, India, is a film score soundtrack composer and singer. He began his career assisting composers V. Manohar and K. Kalyan, working as a keyboard player for around 30 films before making his debut as a music director with Autograph Please (2006). His breakthrough came with the film Birugaali in 2009, followed by notable successes such as Sanchari (2010) and Kempegowda (2011), for which he changed his name to Arjun Janya. He won several awards including the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Director for Alemaari (2012), the SIIMA Award for Best Music Director for Romeo (2012) and the Filmfare Best Music Director award for Bhajarangi (2013). His 100th film as music director was 99 in 2019.
