Santhosh Venky

Santhosh Venky – born January 6, 1990, in Bangalore, India - is an award-winning playback singer best known for his work in Kannada cinema (aka Sandalwood). His playback career began with the 2011 film Krishnan Marriage Story, but he came to prominence with his work in films such as Aatagara (2015), Preethiyalli Sahaja (2015), Rhaatee (2015), Jai Maruthi 800 (2016), and Yajamana (2019). His biggest successes were featured in the hit films K. G. F.: Chapter 1 (2018) and K. G. F.: Chapter 2 (2022). The second of the two films features Santhosh Venky performing the song “Toofan,” which was streamed on social media more than 40 million times in the first month of release. During his career, Santhosh Venky has won several Best Playback Singer awards from the Kamataka State Film Awards (2015) the Filmfare Awards, and the SIIMA Awards (2015, 2018, and 2019).
