Douglas Heart was a Swedish indie pop band formed by Malin Dahlberg and Pontus Wallgren. Initially known as Hal Blaine, they began recording intimate and minimalistic songs with basic equipment. Their first studio recordings appeared on the Labrador Kingsize compilation in 2001 after signing with Labrador Records. The duo later expanded to a quintet with Ramo Spatalovic, Daniel Brandt, and Max Sjöholm joining as permanent members. In 2004, Douglas Heart released their self-titled debut album, followed by the EP I Could See The Smallest Things (2004). They embarked on a European tour in 2005, which included stops in Germany. Dahlberg pursued her solo project We are Soldiers We Have Guns shortly after.
