Toxoplasma is a German punk band from Neuwied, founded in 1980. The original line-up consisted of singer Wally Walldorf, bassist Stefan, drummer Harry and guitarist Markus B., who was replaced by Uwe Schellhaas shortly after the band was founded. in 1983, the band released their self-titled debut album Toxoplasma, which is considered a milestone in German punk. This was followed by further albums such as Monsters of Bullshit (1990), Ausverkauf (1991) and Gut & Böse (1992). After several line-up changes and breaks, the band has been active again since 2004 and released the album Köter in 2013. The current line-up consists of Wally Walldorf (vocals), Thomas (guitar), Stefan (bass) and Spiro (drums). Toxoplasma is known for its raw sound and uncompromising lyrics, which have had a lasting impact on the German punk scene.
