Normahl, a German punk band, was founded in 1978 in Winnenden by five high school students. Their debut EP, Stuttgart über alles, was released in 1981 on Mülleimer Records and featured provocative political texts. Throughout the 1980s, Normahl shifted towards fun-punk with albums like Kein Bier vor vier (1989), Harte Nächte (1985), and Blumen im Müll (1991). In 1992, they collaborated with various artists on the anti-racism initiative Kein Hass im Wilden Süden, which included the song "Niemals vergessen". Despite critical acclaim and extensive touring, Normahl disbanded in 1996. They reunited in 2002 with the album INRI 21 and have since released several albums, including Voll Assi (2005) and Friede den Hütten, Krieg den Palästen (2015).
