Ciudad Jardín, a Spanish musical group formed in 1982 by Rodrigo de Lorenzo, initially gained attention with an EP recorded for Goldstein Records. The band's early lineup included Eugenio Haro and Julián H. Hidalgo, with Rodrigo de Lorenzo adopting the name Ciudad Jardín from urbanist Ebenezer Howard. Their debut album Falso (1985) received critical acclaim for its raw and sincere sound, featuring notable tracks like “Emmanuelle negra” and “Las vacas”. The following year, they released Auténtico (1986), which further solidified their status as a unique voice in Spanish pop music. Despite positive reviews, the band faced challenges with their label Fonomusic and disbanded in 1997 after releasing nine full-length albums and an EP.
