Objetivo Birmania, a Spanish dance-pop, funk-pop, synth-pop, and synth-funk band from Madrid, formed in 1982. They initially consisted of four male instrumentalists, namely Francisco R. Musulén, Luis Elices, Javier Escauriaza, and Carlos de France, and one female vocalist, Mari Paz Álvarez, before adding vocalists Mónica Gabriel y Galán and Ana Fernández. They released the debut single "Shiwips" (1982) under the label Rara Avis. In 1983, they released the single "Cocofunk" (1983), which included the hit song "Telegrama (¿Cómo se va?)". They signed with Warner in 1984 and released the first album Tormenta a las 10 (1984), featuring the successful track "Desidia". The second album Todos los hombres son iguales (1985) included the popular single "Baila para mí". Internal conflicts led to a split in 1987. They reformed as an all-female trio in 1989, releasing the album Los amigos de mis amigas son mis amigos (1989). They disbanded definitively on December 31, 1991.
